While cleaning my room last December, I collected a lot of plastic and paper bags from the things I purchased in the mall. I asked myself, “What am I going to do with all of these?”. I rather keep it at home (and be filled with dusts) and not throw them away.
As part of my advocacy for 2013, I tried to collect “eco bags” or reusable shopping bags which I will use whenever I have to buy something. I am inspired to get the “earth, water, air, and fire” edition of eco bags by SM Supermalls, which costs PHP 35.00 each, while the sando bags costs PHP 10.00 each.
More and more cities in the Philippines are implementing “no plastic” policy which I am starting to appreciate more. This might be a little way for most of us, but if we try to look to the effect of this as a whole, we’ll realize that this is a big help to save mother earth.
It’s not yet too late to do our own little ways to help save the environment.
