Anything Goes! Friday

2 05 2008

Rowjielogy PresentsThank God it’s Friday! Well, I still have to go to work tomorrow because we are required to come to work one Saturday per month (Half day only!). Actually, it’s just fine for me because I only want to go to the mall after my work, since I am already in Makati. Haha. But of course, I always wish that I will learn how to spend my money well. Haha.

9th Year Anniversary

Anyway, I decided to create this “Anything Goes Friday!” post before I apply the changes I want to make in my blog. Next week is a “big” week for me because I’ll be celebrating the 9th Year Anniversary of how Rowjielogy came to being. Actually, it is an evolution of different names. I’ll just tell you the story next week.

Labor Day

Yesterday was a non-working holiday. Even though it was a holiday, I still wasn’t able to rest because I have to do a lot of responsibilities yesterday. Actually, the day was tiring.

Bye Bye Brooke

It still makes me feel sad that Brooke got eliminated in American Idol yesterday. I love Brooke but I want David Cook to win.

We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things

I am really excited with this album from Jason Mraz. According to what I read on the web, it will be released on May 20. But other sources say, it will be on May 13. Well, I hope it will be on May 13, or earlier. Haha. I’ll definitely buy this album. I started to like “I’m Yours” after I saw it’s music video on television.

Pieces Of Realizations

Oh well, I realized a lot of things yesterday. I was in SM Bacoor yesterday and there was a Job Fair. I tried to look at the participants. There were booths by Teletech, SM, Makro, etc. As expected, there were many people who were in Teletech booth. Working in a call center may not be favorable for many because some think that the call center agents are not applying what they learned from school, though I think that there are some call centers where you should really be knowledgeable of what you are talking about. Others also say that your career path is uncertain if you work in a call center. But even though there are negative impressions about call centers, I also want to stress out that there are also positive things we should consider. It gave many jobs to many Filipinos. Of course, there are many people who are practical that’s why they work in call centers because of the good pay. If you are earning a minimum salary amount, and you need to support your family, I don’t think it will be hard for you to consider working in a call center where you can earn higher.

I just want people who have negative impressions for call center agents to consider where these people are coming from. It would be unfair for them if we just think about them negatively.

I also have a “soft spot” for people working in fast food chains, supermarkets, and department stores. I don’t want to say that I feel pity for them, but I do admire them because they are trying to earn a living in the right way. So I really salute these people.

At the end, it made me feel realize that I am still lucky.

Bench Bambino

Wow! I love my new perfume. Haha. It’s Bench Bambino, the one in the blue box.

Crazy But Incredible

I’ve been listening to Brian Josef’s “Crazy But Incredible” album lately and I like his songs. I’ll be making a review of the album soon.
